On the road again...

When I declared oh so not so long ago that, "I want a job where I get to travel a lot! I think it would be nice to get out of town!" I had NO idea what I was talking about!!   Now I do have a job where I travel 100 miles EVERY day just to get too and from work, not counting the endless miles spent hauling kids back and forth on the back roads of NM to contests and lets not forget the dirt road miles put on the truck checking on show animals! Last week I got in about 1300 miles... in 7 days.. never leaving the state of NM.

 But at the end of the day its totally worth it because I LOVE my job!

Today was one of those I love my job days... I got to take NM 156 from Casa to Santa and it was GORGEOUS! (if you like mesas, dead grass, cows, antelope, windmills & red dirt) Unfortunately I didn't get to stop and enjoy the scenery or take any pictures as I was on a tight schedule (story of my life) but one day this summer I'm gonna take the cruise and soak it all in! So if you are ever on the east side and want to get away from civilization (went about 45 miles with out seeing anyone today) then take the 156 cruise.

Heres to a Happy Monday..even tho its Wednesday!

Even though Monday started off terrible and I was tempted to come back home and get back into bed to try it all over again it ended wonderfully for one of my students at the District FFA Speech contest.  So here is my happy monday picture that I took a few years ago on our front porch.  These two kittens showed up one day and lived in our well house and would venture out but always had each others backs...

Feinding for being busy..

So today is Thursday.. In another life Thursday was my favorite day of the week. Thursday led to Thursday--night.. which led to going out with the guys and gals and having a good time, dancin, singing, ...starting things on fire..oops.. Now Thursday is still my favorite day of the week, but for a completely different reason! Thursday is my FRIDAY!! SO TGIT!! Working at a school with a 4-day week is AMAZING and has soo many benefits, however one drawback is that by Thursday--night, the only thing I'm fit for is ..well not much. Ever seen the move Overboard with Goldie Hawn where she is sitting with the kids and keeps saying "bubbububububububub" .. ya that's me on the average Thursday--night. 

So like I said, its Thursday--night and I'm coming off of my work high.  I came to the realization tonight that rather than dealing with problems (typically personal) as they arise in my life, I just say "sure" to someone elses request for help or volunteer for something that I really do NOT have time for in order to stay insanely busy and therefore avoid the afore said "problem."  Now that judging season is over and we are wrapping up the last 4 weeks of the school year I find myself with not enough to do! I was trying to have a nice dinner with Sissy and The Stick Bug and was chomping at the bit because I felt like I needed to get up and do something.  What needed doing??? No clue!  So in order to combat my "addiction" to busy as the summer is rolling around and my life is slowing down I decided to start a blog.  So here it goes..
